“View from the Swamp” is my unofficial blog — my playground, if you will, where I can post about anything and everything. I have an “official” blog, at my Tropical Web Works blog, which is primarily written for my web development clients and people like them — smart business people who know their business but don’t necessarily know a lot about web site development, search engine optimization, or technologies behind html, http, css, php, mysql, apache, or any of the other technologies that are needed for website development and hosting. I try to keep my posts there limited to topics and concepts related to web site development, with my target demographic in mind.
Here in the Swamp, OTOH, I’ll write about anything and everything that strikes my fancy. Here is where I’ll kick off my shoes and dance as if no one’s watching, to music that I alone hear.
I live, almost literally, in a swamp. It’s high ground, actually — here in Florida, that means it’s a few inches above sea level. But there’s swamp to the left of me, swamp to the right of me, and swamp behind me. And a pond in front of me, filled with bass and blue gill, and occasionally visited by gators, otters, and other wildlife. I’ve always had a somewhat “different” view of the world, and I think my perspective is getting more and more different the longer I live in the swamp. When I’m rich enough, I’ll be called “eccentric.” For now, I’m just sort of weird.
